I’ve misjudged Cai Guoqiang’s Arc’teryx.
The height of contemporary art isn’t the Arc’teryx that’s forced to stand tall in the Himalayas.
It’s the feeling of standing at the foot of the mountain, gazing up at the boundless heights of nature and coexisting peacefully with it.
Such art isn’t arrogance, but rather a profoundly humble exploration of the unknown future.
The height of artistic piety is the natural ecology that emerges from the consciousness of one’s true self.
